President’s Pledge
The best oolong tea harvests in Taiwan are in
the winter and spring. During these seasons, I visit the tea farming
areas of Lugu, Mount Ah Li, Li Shan, Wen Shan, and Shan Lin Xi. I visit
numerous farms in each area, often tasting over 60 varieties of tea
from each region. My relationship with the tea plantation owners makes
me privy to the working conditions of the farmers, their workers, and
their use of pesticides. It is from this sampling that I make the selections
for J-Tea products. I focus on finding unique tastes at reasonable prices.
My job is to bring to the western world the highest quality teas that
capture seasonal as well as regional differences. My assurance to you
is superior quality tea, grown using sound, ecofriendly principles,
provided at a fair price.
What Makes J-Tea Unique
Each tea selected for the J-Tea product line is
unblended and unique. Because of the variation in regions and the seasonal
differences in the teas we offer, some of our teas are available only
in limited quantities and for limited times. For these highly specialized
teas, once that tea is sold out, it is gone forever. In selection our
teas, the most important qualities we look for are freshness, uniqueness
of aroma and taste, and clean humane farming conditions. So, when you
buy from J-Tea, you are certain to have products that are special, of
high quality, and purchased directly from the source.
