Jasmine Basket
These globes of tea are made by wrapping several large green tea (Guang Dong Da Bai Hao) leaves around, a globe amaranth and a jasmine flower. The Globes are often referred to as the underwater firework because upon infusion the green tea slowly unfolds and the blazing red globe amaranth emerges. This tea ball was given the name Xu Ri Dong Sheng “The rising sun ascends in the East”. Four tea globes equal roughly one ounce.

Yun
Nan Gold Tips
The province of Yunnan, borders Burma, Laos and Vietnam and produces more black tea than any other province in China. Environmental conditions such as the climate and soil particular to Yunnan result in a broad and full tea leaf and add to the rich and creamy texture of the tea. This is an example of very high quality Yunnan black tea. Due to the world demand for puer tea, Yunnan Gold is being used to produce puer teas and as a result Yunnan Gold teas, such as this one, are now more difficult to find.

Fong
Huang Dan Chong
This Oolong from Guandong province in
Mainland China is called Phoenix Mountain Single Bush. What
makes this tea amazing? Well, as the name Dan Chong (single
bush) implies all 40 pounds acquired by J-Tea is from the same
tea plant. Its aroma is boldly gentle and brings back the memory
of a cherry tree that grew in the back yard. This tea is a treat
anytime and can be used for several infusions.
