What J-Tea drinkers have to say:

Chris Broekhoff, VP Business Development, MEI in San Francisco, CA
"As morning rituals go, you can't do better than preparing Oolong tea in the traditional way. Watching the leaves come to life after the first wash is a perfect preview of the awakening effects of your first cup. Unlike coffee—assuming you're like me, and your coffee isn't right without a heavy dose of cream and sugar—Oolong tea is best enjoyed clean and pure. Savoring its subtle aroma and delicate taste is the right way to start my day."

Lizzy Hughes, Board President of the Arts Alliance in Sandpoint, ID
"What J-tea Oolong does for me....  It makes my life so full of happiness.  I tell all my friends, it's the best drink anywhere anytime, hot or cold.  It's the first thing I want in the morning and the last thing I want before I go to bed.  Gives me good happy energy all day long, it's steady like water in the creek, so smooth.  Now when I drink other teas they don't even compare, nothing is as subtle and clean tasting as J-Tea.  And if I've drunk lots of J-Tea, when I run it sweats out so easily, but it's clean, so I know it's good for me, cleansing, pure, nice."

Sean Quigley, Student in Vancouver, Canada
"Drinking Oolong tea is an experience of the senses. The feel and smell of the dry leaves as the bag is opened, and your nose unconsciously accepts and readies your body for the heat and flavour of what is to come. The drifting fragrance, the heated teapot, the opening leaves, the richness, lightness, or deepness of the tea's flavour. The health benefits. All of these experiences and more are what make drinking loose leaf tea a special occasion. My favorite tea (right now) is Bao Zhong. I was introduced to this type of Taiwanese oolong by Josh from J-Tea. It is absolutely wonderful, and I'm forever grateful for the introduction. The best thing to do is put you nose right into the bag as soon as you open it, and you will definitely enjoy a refreshing and invigorating boost to your brewing experience. It is melony, sweet, and inviting, and doesn't give too much away about the wonderful flavors to come. I even have a special teapot in which I only brew Bao Zhong.

Even though my experiences with oolong started long before my introduction to J-Tea my enjoyment has only been amplified by the heightened quality of aroma and flavor that J-Tea and Taiwan Oolong represents. Over the years, I have drunk gallons of tea, and can truthfully say that now I feel that I am truly enjoying what tea has to offer."

"I really look forward to my tea break.  I take two tea breaks a day, one in the mid morning and one in the afternoon.  Because I do physical work, Oolong tea totally satisfies me.  It clears away the dust and helps clear the mind in the morning.  I also notice that it settles the stomach and helps with digestion; the better the tea, the better the effect.  In the summer it helps me cool down.  My daily tea routine really helps me get my work done.  It has a rejuvenating quality that refreshes me during or after physical activity.

For recreation, I most enjoy drinking tea and having intellectual conversations.  While hiking, to have a well made cup of tea outside is the greatest.

I am spoiled from drinking good Oolong tea from J-Tea.  There is something really genuine about a good cup of tea and J-Tea is genuinely good.  Oolong tea has a really special taste, and with the good stuff, it doesn’t take much.  It is a nice addition to a good life.  It helps me function better as a part of my regular routine.  Oolong tea has a cleaning property and it is good for people, so those who live a healthy lifestyle really enjoy it, and those who put a lot of crap in their body also enjoy it because it makes them feel clean and healthy.

I really enjoy Chinese tea culture and the art of making Oolong tea because it incorporates awareness and enjoying the moment.  Drinking from the small cups allows me to take my time and really enjoy the tea.  As with many things in Chinese culture, the differences are subtle.  The simplicity is nice.  It’s just tea, an essential part of my everyday life."
