This tea was harvested from a field that was allowed to grow wild. Left to their own devices, the tea plants were influenced by their immediate environment, developing a slightly wild flavor. Grown in Lugu, Taiwan, this tea was processed in the Gui Fei Mei Ren style - tightly rolled bug bitten tea. The results are a clean flavor with notes of honey and fruit. This tea is sweet with gripping texture.
We roasted this tea again in our Eugene teahouse in 2008. This added to the teas caramel notes and was thus named after one of Eugene's most famous running events. The Butte to Butte tea is a real beauty.
